How many young unbroke horses are you planning to buy?!
Any horse that needs starting and training should only be purchased by an experienced horse person with the knowledge to do so. I believe that even if you send your horse to 'the trainer' you still have to have the know-how to take responsibility afterwards for a young, green horse.
My opinion: Buy yourself an older well-started or finished horse. You'll probably find really quickly after purchasing a yearling or two year old that the wait is not worth it, especially if you're younger. I'm sure you want something that you can have fun with soon. Leave the young horses to those with the experience.
By the way, making a decision on what horse to buy based on what people on here 'think' is not a good plan. If you're are seriously looking to buy, get out there and look!

Scientists have known for years that superior human athletes have hearts that are substantially larger than those of non-athletes. Human athletes can increase the size of their hearts through proper conditioning. Scientific research shows that superior racehorses, both Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds, also have hearts substantially larger than those of average horses. Unlike humans, the size of eq...

I can ride both western and english to a canter, so I'd say I'm intermediate, but I just need more info about the whole horse buying business. Breedsizeexpense. The thing is though I DO NOT want some lazy old lessen horse without any spirit but then again managable for an intermediate. Any suggestions.
What are your riding goals? do you want to show? what disciplines do you want to get into? what breed/type of showing would you want to do? How much do you want to spend? What kind of horse you get depends on all these things.
Theres no way to tell you what breed, height, gender, etc. you should get without more info. These things really depend on the individual horse, don't go off of most sterotypes. For instance, don't rule out all mares, or all geldings, some geldings are more mellow, other mares act just as mellow as geldings, some people get along great with typical mares, others don't.... The only way to know what you like, is to try a bunch of different horses. The only horses I would say you should stay far away from are stallions...I would say go for a more mainstream breed like a quarter horse, paint, morgan, arab, tb, etc. With obscure breeds it can be hard to find someone to give you lessons/training, and if you ever want to show you may run into some problems with biased judges, and so on.
You should have whoever gives you lessons help you look for a sutible horse. Keep in mind, lesson horses are well behaved because they have been well trained, and are worked regularly under the supervision of someone experianced. Once you get your horse, even if is quiet, you could start having trouble with it, most people go through a phase with their first horse where it begins testing them, and gets really naughty. Don't' get something that will be too much of a challenge for your first horse unless you are going to have a lot of instruction. Horses don't just maintain their own training.

I have a 20-year years years gelding has a mark on the U upper left hip and I know that and this horse had her baby. Someone said it might be somewhere in Texas?
You should contact a local brand inspector Texas. Usually maintain a comprehensive database on all registered trademarks. Yes, it is difficult to follow the marks, but not impossible or unknown. Just a little time and some detectives around. You can start by e-mail an image to the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and see if you can guide good brand right direction. Good luck! "How do you know about your question is often asked is:" My animal that brand. Where does the animal? "O" What is the story? "Authority in the brands in their area is the local brand inspector. If you think a horse has arrived from another region, please contact the Board Control of the mark in the state that engages the Department of the mark usually under the jurisdiction of the State Department of Agriculture. These professionals have the records for check that owns the trademark. Also, if you find a lost animal, the brand inspector, the owner is good. Conversely, if lost a pet, you should contact the local inspector of the brand with the brand and description of the lost pet. Some states, like Arkansas, has a mark, but not required and many brands are not registered. In this case, the trademark has priority over an unregistered mark in the event of a problem property. In States without registration of the trademark laws, the state livestock associations (such as State Cattlemen's Association) can often be helpful. # Howto http://www.cowboyshowcase.com/brands.htm

I have a mare expecting a foal 14yo old soon. It was supposed to be due on March but I think it will be long before it is too heavy! I worked in the thoroughbred stud, etc before, but this is my first foal rearing me, so I would like any advice, suggestions and things to take into account from any thing that other horses have been raised before. As the special dietary needs, or will do well in normal diet? When taking your belt off? If separated from her best friend (another, much larger mini mare). In addition, some useful advice. Horse Racing? Can racehorses in Appendix Quarter horse racing or thoroughbred?
Im curious to know why someone in the racing world would be an annex of bread? I know I've seen horses that have quater herd of horses here. What is still considered as the fourth horse. Im confused about the rules between horses and throughbreds quarter as running and breadcrumbs. All that would be helpful. Thanks
Well as I say Equine someone what, Barrio allowed the blood flow of TB in horse racing in the quarter they simply can not work in GT racing part of the reason is that quarter horses really considered a breed of horses in the cold, because no one can trace cattle back to the extent that TBS number 16 as the Mare Mare 2 and others where race with TBS and YRS YRS so why do you want? and the answer is not all quarter horses in the short term, some want the longer term, so it keeps the mixture TBS so they can run 870, and 550 out of the horse race racing quarter Assoc. in the network, which will explain,
